Digestion

My mother is an elderly woman(78) with no gall badder an recently has lost her husband of the last 45yrs and weight over a 150 pounds to boot
Takes Meda for high blood pressure, and now has had problems with food digestion and constipation, what can she do?

She is probably grieving for her loss, if she has become overweight it could be she is eating more to compensate for her loss.Maybe some new interests in her life would help her.good Luck

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  What do you mean by "weight over a 150 pounds to boot"?  Do you mean that she needs to loose 150 pounds to be at a normal weight?  How long has this been going on for?  Has she seen a doctor about this?
