Although high fat foods are more likely to aggravate gallbladder symptoms it is a rather random problem as almost anything you swallow results in a signal for the gallbladder to contract. Rather than sitting around pondering the "why" you should see a surgeon. The fact that you are symptomatic means that you have a one in three chance of developing a life threatening complication of the problem. The reason surgery is recommended is not merely to relieve the symptoms, it is because you are more likely to live out your life expectancy with surgery than without. In other words, ignoring it is much more risky than the surgery.
I still can't understand why I have biliary colic symptoms. I eat a very healthy diet, consisting of chicken, turkey, without skin fish especially salmon, tuna, sardines. I eat a lot of fresh organic vegetables, and fruit. I don't drink soda, only seltzer and a glass of red wine with my dinner, only have egg whites. I use extra virgin olive oil, take vitamins, do exercise every day. I'm a healthy women and ever had any problems with my stomach. I eat pasta once a week and have only extra lean meat twice a month. I don't eat any deli meats, and I only have multigrain cereal, and oatmeal, ad whole wheat breads. It is mind boggling me, that it is controlling my whole personality.
