stricture in colon

I do not have a large intestine, had surgery 13 years ago.  at the place small colon is connected i had a CT scan which says i have a stricture and scarring.  I am having terrible bloating and cannot eat any large meal, also can't do fiber, gluten or carbs.  Any suggestions.  I take amitiza twice a day and drink miralax every night with prune juice.  this has ruined my life.  it has just gotten worse over the last 6 months.  am also having a problem with food backing up and i feel like throwing up after eating, i do take pepcid which helps somewhat

I may ask my gastro dr. to see if she can laser my scar tissue so that the opening may become a little better so that food can pass through.  Having colonoscopy and endoscopy in feb. until then have to eat often and small amounts, extremely frustrating with the holidays

Does your GI doctor feel there is nothing that can be done?  It's difficult to deal with scar tissue...is that what's causing the stricture?  If nothing is done or can't be done, you may have to have your J-Pouch removed and receive a permanent colostomy.  I would like to know what your GI doctor says about this so I can better answer your question.  Thank you.
