Lou the symptoms can be similar depending on the 'scope' of them. There are some that appear to be more clear-cut than others, however. But most docs - in the absence of lab results - will often place blame on acid reflux first before moving on to check for other things..............at least that's what it often seems like to me.
thanks i will get it checked but they dont happen too often so i didnt bother but at the time the pain is really bad. are the symptons for reflux/esophageal spasm and gall bladder symptons similar?
Lou, these could be a number of things, but you've got to see a doc and rule out any form of heart issues. After that's done, make sure you're checked for acid reflux/esophageal spasm issues and for anything related to your gallbladder.
hi kev ,no i havnt been to the doctors with it so far,the pain isnt burning or a stabbing pain, its difficult to explain the pain i feel ,its unbearable tidal wave of pain that radiates from my mid section ,up into my chest, throat and radiates from my chest through to my back,it doesnt come on after eating and im not sure what triggers it ,im never sick but am breathless and in a cold sweat during the time it lasts, the attacks subside then i can feel it building again after a few minutes
Have you been to the doctors? if you were to describe the pain would you say it is like an unbarelible burning? a Sharp, stabing pain? Do you lose your breath? do you vomit? do you have any stomach discomfort? Does it come after you eat? Please describe in more detail.
