when will omeprazole start working

This is day 4, and I am on 10 mg.of omeprazole. The first two days were terrible, the third fine now the fourth is terrible.

P.s......the 'lump' when I swallow is still there Ive also read Omeprazole causes bone thinning...oh heck Ive got Osteporosis as it is. Hope your feeling unwell passes.

I too have started Omeprazole on 15th May for lumpy feeling in lower esophagus when I swallow, the only side effect I get is red and itching and burning forearms.

By terrible do you mean side effects or no relief? This med can start helping with in a couple of days depending on what you're being treated for.If you have an ulcer it can weeks to clear up and you may need to be on a double dose of this med.
