why do a burp constantly, pain under right rib.

I had pain in the center of the chest, right side under my rib, for the past two weeks
sometimes it feels like sharp stabbing knife. my stomache is very bloated oh I also the pain in my right rib
radiated to my back. what is going on?

Hi I have the same problem.I just had a colonoscopie and upper GI endoskopie done.they found 3 polybs and Patchy granular mucosa in the gasric body.They did a biopsy Im waiting,but I still have pain on my right side close to my rips.I still don't now what I have?You need to get checked out soon as possible don't wait!!! They did my check up for free at VCU in Richmond.My father died from coloncancer.Please get checked up for Gastroskopie and colonoskopie you don't feel anythink they put you to sleep.Change your diet,organic olive oil, flex seeds,bulgur,unpeeled rice,yogurt,fresh lemon.Avoid white sugar,red meet(Beef,pork),canfood,white flour,fried food

Sounds like you have a bout with gas. It does happen to everyone from time to time. You can get some gas X..Also sounds like you have acid reflux...have you had it diagnosed?

You can get some Prilosec (over the counter) and take for 14 days.

I tell people this all the time,  look at what you're eating. If you are not eating frequently enough, you might try that. Maybe some fruit and try to eat light. Watch out for sodas, coffee, tea, tomatoes, anything acidic.  Those foods tend to give you all kinds of problems.

Try these suggestions first before you rush off to the doc and start undergoing tests. Sometimes the simple things work the best. And then if those don't give you some relief, then see you doc:)
