Am I at risk for rabies?

My friend was bitten by a dog he watches for a neighbor regularly. He did not go to the hospital or a doctor. I kissed him the day after (definitely exchanged saliva). Am I at risk for rabies?

As Gioitaly stated domestic dogs do not carry rabies. There is a one in a billion chance of this happening. It is more likely for you to be selected as the next astronaut to go to Mars. Dogs bite for many reasons. You have zero chance of contracting rabies from kissing him.

your friend is not at risk, there are no longer dogs with rabies. if you know the dog just check on its health, if it had rabies it should be dead by now.

you have definitely not been exposed to anything other than a flu.
