It's always a good idea to see a doctor in this scenario, as they will invariably perform an X-ray, MRI, or both, to confirm or deny any serious structural damage (beyond ligamentous sprain). Check with them and get hooked up with the proper mobility aid for your weight-bearing restriction. If you're not sure how to go about that, I recommend this site:

I am 22 years old. I was just trying to avoid the doctor as much as possible and hoping it was a sprain, but it's left me a bit immobile. Thank you so much, I will be heading to the doctor tomorrow!
Ummmmm, that does not look good. If I were you I would go get x-rays done. I broke the small bones in my ankle and it looked like yours. Depending on if or what is broken they will give you a air cast and crutches and just tell you to keep weight off of it. Best wishes.

I have ostoperous and have broken both wrists. I have to exercise to strengthen them, and keep fit and keep my weight down so I don't break anything else. Keeping weight down is the hardest. I would get advice from a dr. as to what you need to do, have it X-Rayed.
