Menopause?

First, I will apologize for asking this question because I know it is very trivial, and there are so many others that are important. Second, I would like to know about the great days a head that's associated with menopause. Now, I don't feel it because I am almost a month late, and for the majority of 39.5 years of having a period, they have been normal. I am very miserable. I feel like I am 2 or 3 feet tall and 5 feet wide. I ache in my calves, feet, thighs, head, my calves have become sore, and I also have other symptoms now and then like I am trying to have a period, but I don't. I know it's suppose to get better, but I wonder if the entire year before menopause is suppose to feel this miserable? Thank you.

Hi there, I struggle with my hormones too so I know how you feel..I think people underestimate how much hormones effect us.
My Mum is well into her fifties now, but she was quite unwell for a few years until she reached menopause.
It took about 4 years to get my Mum back, it was like she had constant pre-menstrual syndrome!
She was very short tempered, anxious and depressed, didn't have much energy, and had about 4 migraines a month, each 1 lasting about 72 hours!
The thing with my Mum is that she won't see the doctor! There are things that the doctor can prescribe to help relieve symptoms, but they are not suitable for everyone.
I know that certain supplements help a lot of people, black kohosh, high doses of B vitamins..
Don't suffer in silence go see your doctor. It is not something that you should put up with, I know all women have to go through it, but some women get it really bad. It really does impact on your life.
Hope this helps a little..

are you having bad flushes with these symptoms ????  your doctor can rule this out with a simple blood test, i am going through the menapause at the moment but had a hysterectomy which has made mine come on so fast, so i cant answer what it is like prior to the menapause. Have you done a pregnancy test ???? go to doctors and get that blood test done asap, good luck
