Multiple Symptoms

So I have already posted this question once, and got absolutely NO response....so I am posting it again in hopes that someone can help me out!

I am a 23 year old female with a history of LARGE ovarian cysts, 3 miscarriages, appendectomy, cholecystectomy.  I have been feeling ill for the better part of 3 years....vomiting, constipation, weight loss, headache, fever, extreme fatigue.  I ended up being scheduled for my gallbladder to be taken out...found out I was pregnant...and the surgery was postponed until I had the baby.  I ended up having the surgery in February of 2008....and ever since I have had vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, low grade fever, headache, extreme fatigue, bloating in the stomach, lower back pain, abdominal pain, etc.

Does anyone know what this could be?  I could really use some help!

Wow, it seems like you will never find an answer at times. Get that test done as soon as you can. It really may supply answers for you. Congrats to you both on changing bad habits. That is really great. I will see if I can find you other ideas and talk to my husband. Maybe he has seen things at his work that might give me some thoughts cause that is his area. They do the tests. I will let you know as soon as I can. I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks!  I have tried the gluten free diet for a total of 3 months, with no help.  I also was already tested for Celiac Disease...(I always ask for copies of lab results and I looked this up.) and apparently that is not it.

For 2 years I was a a total vegetarian, and no help.  My husband and I have recently changed our diet.  For the past 2 weeks all we have eaten is chicken, turkey and seafood (salmon and tilapia being the main two).  We have incorporated a TON of whole grains into our diet, eliminated alot of our sugar and fats.  My husband quit smoking 2 months ago and also cut out coffee!  (He was drinking 7-8 cups a day with tons of sugar and creamer).  He now drinks Tazo Black Tea...which he says is awesome for energy.  Apparently, he feels great!  Much more energy....he used to drink fairly heavily, but since switching our diets he hasn't had a huge urge to drink.  We both take multi-vitamins (I take prenatals since we plan on getting pregnant again in about a year).  I drink a ton of water and cranberry juice.

I just can't figure it out...along with the above symptoms I am also having extreme lack of energy and with this change in diet I really thought it would improve.  My husbands energy/overall wellbeing seems to improve...but I slowly feel worse.  Its quite frustrating.  I never feel like doing anything....I am always tired, etc.

Oh yes they are not cheap. It would be helpful though. I would still be checked for Celiac though. The gastro doc can do that as well. Have you tried also cutting out dairy as well? I really think if you can go ahead and have that test done you might find some answers. My husband works in that field as well. That camera test is wonderful and takes pics all through so you get alot of views. Because of your symptoms it does sound like something that your are reacting to rather than something that you have wrong physically. Your body seems to be having a reaction to something we just don't know what. Diarreah, nausea, fever and fatigue is all the result of something foriegn in  your body. Those type of symptoms you get from things like an infection or allergic reaction. Fevers tell you that you have an enemy trying to invade your body, such as gluten or a virus. You could have something like diverticulitis and those pockets can become infected as well. Are you going to go with the test? Can you go with payment plans to do it? How long did you try to go without gluten? It does take awhile for your body to return to normal once you eliminate it from your diet. Hope you feel better soon!

First of all...thank you for responding!  I was scheduled for a colonoscopy but at the time I had NO insurance and lets face it....colonoscopy's are expensive.  They also wanted to do a test where I swallow a pill that has some rings in it....and over time they xray my abdomen to see how those rings are progressing.  Even the gastroenterologist said that he honestly thinks that this is all "psychological".  I know its not psychological...and in all I don't really think it is Celiac Disease.  My mother in law brought this up...but I have tried cutting gluten from my diet completely and find that it doesn't help.  Plus...I haven't had this problem all of my life.

I start to wonder sometimes if something else is going on with me....I didn't mention in the above post that I am also struggling with severe upper left quadrant pain.  It is just under my left rib cage.  This is new....(just since having my gall bladder removed) and I wonder if something else is going on?

Thanks SOOOO much for responding....I really need alot of imput right now before I go to my doc.  You are the first and only to give me some

Did you ever have a colonoscopy done? Have you ever had bloody stools at all as well. One thing that sticks out to me is Celiac Disease. Sounds very similar. There is a blood test to determine that. Its a sensitivity to gluten. Check it out and see cause you have alot of the symptoms you described and its more common in women. I know that one of my clients who has it has told me alot about it. If you google it or look it up here you may see that you have alot of the symptoms. Its doesn't account for the fever but your body can run a higher temp even just dealing with the gluten sensitivity. Best of luck!
