My left outer ear is numb after a (love)bite to the neck?

Last night my boyfriend bit my neck during sex -pretty hard, but no blood/teethmarks/bruising or anything like that- and immediately pain shot up from my neck to my left ear. Immediately, my entire outer ear felt painfully tingly and sort of numb. By the next morning it was no longer painful, but it felt a bit like how your mouth feels from dentist's anesthesia, weirdly desensitized.
It has now been an entire day, it's still numb, and I'm starting to get worried. What causes this? Is it dangerous? Will it go away?

Hm, that is really odd.  I guess I've never been bit in that place like that.  (maybe a good thing, huh?! lol  Tell your boyfriend no more of that!).  Is your feeling back?  Somehow he may have gotten a nerve in the bite.  Hopefully you have feeling again as that is probably annoying.

Some feeling is returning, but it's very weird. When I turn my head a certain way, I feel a strange "pulling" sensation in my ear, as if someone is lightly twisting or pulling my earlobe. I'm pretty sure by now it's a pinched/damaged nerve of some sort, but I really hope it recovers more than this because the pulling sensation is worse than it just being numb.
