My brother and I were hiking for over an hour. On the car ride home I bought ourselves some drinks. Water for him, and a Slushy for me.
He then laid down on the back of the car in his "recovery" position. Sometimes during hard workouts he begins to "get there" as he calls it, and gets into that position. It's laying down on his side with his arm extended up. All of a sudden, he fainted completely. It lasted for about 2 minutes. To make matters worse, the sugar in the slushy and the fear of it all induced a panic attack in me.
I took him to the hospital where he refused to go in. He said he was fine, and all he wants to do is sleep it off. I'am now here at home, watching him as he sleeps. I removed all pieces of clothing but his underwear. AC is on full blast. A few minutes ago he told me to turn it down, as he feels cold. He is now wrapped in a blanket.
As you can probably tell, this isn't the first time this has happened to him. Once while working out with our other brother he fainted. 911 was called as it was in a GYM environment.
I've been reading up on heat stroke and it says medical attention should be sought. But even until now as I write this and ask him, he says, "I'm 100% fine, and don't want to go." I'm scared, and don't know what to do. Maybe I'm still "freaking out" cause of the slushy. What to do?
