Thank you for your comment... I will try he solutions you have given me. Tomorrow they are sending me to a therapist for evaluation. My doctor said I have symptoms of a mild stroke but my insurance wont approve any MRI or cat scan until they get more information. I hope this goes away cause is really messing my life up. Becoming very clumsy and is embarrasing.... :(
My strengths are biochemistry and neuro/psych stuff, so nerves and surgeries aren't something I can help too much with. Based on the spasms and location of the surgery, you can try a few things that won't make the condition worse. Cold reduces any inflammation that could be pressing on a nerve. Try applying a tolerabley cold icepack to your neck. Be careful to avoid pressure and stop if any pain or spasms occur. Note when the symptoms are at their worst and make a note of any factor that may have caused it ( laying down, temperature, pressure, etc). Because of my lack of knowledge in this area, I am hesitant to suggest any diet or supplement changes, but a deficiency in nutrients could inhibit healing. Bloodwork can't hurt. I hope you get this fixed soon - and i will look into nerves some more.
I am not on Topamax and I do appreciate your reply. I think I am going to seek a second opinion regarding my last surgery. I need to make sure these symptoms will be temporary even though my surgery was last may. I am concerned about spasms though. They are interfering with my sleep and daily life.
Report any symptoms following a surgery to the surgeon or staff. It could be a complication, but I've also seen a recent outbreak of those symptoms from people taking Topamax. I wouldn't worry, but reasonable concern is natural.
