allergic?

if i consume nicotine or caffeine i fell like i cant breath. this is even with chewing tobacco. if i chew i fell like i cant breath and im suffocating. same with even drinking a soda with caffeine in it. i cant take a deep breath and my breathing gets really shallow. is there a name for this? have you ever heard of this? ***@****

thanks you, i don't drink soda with caffeine, and try not to chew, but sometimes i slip. they have ran tests and said everything is fine, i also have an irregular heart beat they said.

Why wouldn't you just avoid them altogether if they're causing these kinds of problems for you.

Both caffeine and nicotine can cause shortness of breath. Caffeine actually speeds up your heart rate which causes shallow breathing and Nicotine does the same thing. It sounds weird but it is true. You may need to watch how much caffeine you ingest and how much nicotine you ingest. Normally someone can drink 2-4 cups of coffee per day and be fine but if you are experiencing shortness of breath you are ingesting too much caffeine which is not safe for you. You need to consult a dr right away as you may not be able to have caffeine or nicotine anymore. Hope I have helped.

you may be allergic to caffine its self. Ask your doctor to run a test.
