How much HZT are you on? do you have kidney problems? If you have a low dose HZT and do not have kidney problems consider taking an extra dose of the HZT which will help you get rid of some of the excess fluids. If you do have kidney problems or are on high dose HZT call your dr for advice.
Never thought of mentoniung this, I am a type 2 diabetic, I do take meds for Hypertention, Diabetis (oral), Cholesterol as well, I do take HTZ for fluid retention...
Edema can be caused by many different factors. Although in many cases benign, I would see a dr. about this. Is there anything else going on with the swelling? Are you diabetic, are you on any medications, are any of your limbs painful/turning blue? Do you have any history of liver or kidney problems? The best thing to do would be to call the surgeon who performed the cholecystectomy and ask him for his impression.
