low wbc
hi im 24 yrs old..just recently being hospitalized for having sorethroat and colds and cough..i have history of allergy..like allergic rhinitis and asthma...im just worried about my blood test WBC is 2.7 im so paranoid..pls help...but my doctor said it is normal for wbc to get low after viral infection...my doctor said to repeat my blood test..pls help./.
hi tnx...just had my blood test..and it went gud..tnx God everything is ok...my wbc 8000 and platelet 283000..tnx God...

When a patient has been ill with severe sore throat, cold, flu, etc, it is sometimes normal for the WBC to change. If your doctor is not upset, I would not worry about it, however, if he wants to re-test, I wuold do that, blood tests are only a "snapshot" of what is going on during that second, they can change.
