memory problems and confusion

Sorry if this is the wrong board, but I'm not sure where to post this.

I've been diagnosed with a b12 deficiency and vitamin d deficiency, along with low testosterone and a few other issues. Lately I've been having A LOT of trouble with memory, and it's scaring me. My problem is that i'll see something or hear something, and it reminds me of 'something' but I can't figure out what that something is. It happens so often that it's becoming pretty scary.

It's a little hard to describe, but it's almost like my brain says, 'oh this reminds me of something I've seen before or heard before', but it never really recalls the memory. Sometimes I can remember later, and other times I just attribute it to something I may have dreamt the night before or something.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Oh wow, that sounds awful! I suppose I can be thankful that I don't have PA, though I'm really not sure why my b12 keeps getting low even after a few months of treating with IM injections and supplementation. Unfortunately getting my numbers back up (when they were higher) didn't help my brain at all...

Wow, you sound exactly like me. I'm so sorry. I know how terrible it is to not have a diagnosis. My b12 was low before and was fixed, but for some reason it's low again, but I don't have PA. My vitamin d was low, but doctors say that it has nothing to do with how I feel. The only other issues I have is low T that they don't feel is worth treating at the moment, and cervical spine problems which they said also wouldn't be causing it.

For me, the brain fog and memory problems are the worst. I can handle the pain and the fatigue, but it's scary to feel like you can't remember things at all, and feeling like you're constantly drunk or something.

What blood tests have they run on you? Have they checked your thyroid and other hormones?

I was in the mid stages of dementia due to severe vitamin B12 deficiency.  It was about a month after starting vitamin B12 replacement that i noted an improvement in my memory.  I take 2000mcg of sublingual (under the tongue) spray daily for my autoimmune pernicious anaemia.

I have experienced similar symptoms.  I get headaches only on the left side of my head and I feel a lot of pressure in my head on that side as well as in my ear.  I get confused a lot.  I will be driving somewhere and I will go the wrong way or I will almost put random things in the refrigerator that arent suppose to be in there like clothes.  I also have been having these weird thoughts where I think I remember something but I'm not sure if it really happened or not.  I have been to an ENT, had MRI's, blood work, you name it. Nothing is coming back showing anything.  The only thing was that the wall of my maxillary sinus is thickening, so I'm really not sure what's going on with me.  My eyes are red all of the time even when I try to use eye drops and I get double vision and pain in my left eye.  I also get tachycardia for no reason.  I just wish someone would figure this out so I don't have to live like this any more.  I also am extremely tired all the time even though I get enough sleep.
