probably an abcess(infection)you need antibiotics
Hi! I'm brand new to this website & forum, but I was researching this issue for a friend of mine just last night. Sounds like you have an abscess forming thus the "white bump". The tooth itself will have to be taken care of eventually but the abscess is an infection that needs to be taken care of NOW. Any dr/er/dds can prescribe you a round of antibiotics, which will help with the pain and inflammation alot. Try rinsing your mouth out with warm saline (salt) water a few times a day. If you're lucky, the "bump" will come to a head (like a pimple) and you will be able to squeeze the infection (pus) out of it. I know that sounds gross but once you can do that, it will help the pain immensely. My friend got prescribed Penicillin on Friday and immediately he was able to express the area daily and it is feeling so much better. Look up dental abscess online to learn more and good luck!
