Thank you going to get it checked out tomorrow as its still there along with sore throat and feeling rubbish.
ok thank you for all your advice :)
I agree with silverfox67. The rash and the pain you describe sound very much like you have shingles. You need to see the doctor for an antiviral drug and for pain relief.
Keep away from pregnant women and children that have not had chickenpox. If the diagnosis is correct that this is shingles, you are contageous. Also, even with medication when the rash has gone, you may feel the uncomfortable pain for a long time because shingles attacks the nerves.
The virus that causes chicken pox, lies dormant in our bodies. You cannot get shingles unless you have had chicken pox. Anyone who has not had chicken pox may develop chickenpox when they have been in contact with someone with shingles.
Best wishes
If you have pain and a rash in the same area - it is usually shingles. Acyclovir can help if you catch it in time. See a doctor ASAP
Wish I could help you..I am not a doctor...If pain inside and around stomach increases, rash spreads rapidly, or you have fever, or a problem breathing you must go to a hosital..
Rashes can be result of contact dermatitis which can be washed with mild soap then watched, ie bumps, pustules, first symptoms of so many things...but try to think back as to when it started .....
If rash occurred when pain started then keep short diary for hospital and isymptoms
If you have no fever that is good..
Contact rash on abdomen? Soap or conditioner changed?
