4 1/2 weeks for Rapid Test

I had an exposure on March 1st 2008 that I am concerned about. CSW from Tijuana Mexico, with health department ID card (whether they actually go for testing is unknown). CSW said she was a non drug user, would not have sex without a condom for extra money, said she was HIV -, and provided extra lubrication during intercourse. This was protected anal sex, and the CSW took the condom off herself after I ejaculated. On top of that, there was very light kissing on the lips, and very brief kissing/sucking of the nipples (no discharge).

I had another exposure, but it was very light/brief mutual oral with another male. This was done in the shower. He did not ejaculate in my mouth, but on my chest, which I'm told is safe. I did not taste any pre-***, but given that it was under the shower head, I'm sure it was getting washed away quickly, but it still could have been there. Do these factors lower my risk assessment for HIV in this manner?

I realize symptoms are not a good indicator, but I did experience several of them 2-3 weeks after the first exposure. Started taking temperature about 3 weeks later, always around ~97. Minor sore throat, but nothing that a cough drop wouldn't fix. All other symptoms I attribute to stress/anxiety/guilt.

My fear is that I have a steady GF, is it safe to continue having sex with her as usual?

I scheduled a rapid test for tomorrow, April 3rd, is that enough time to give me safe results? Would you advise that I continue through with my appointment?

Rapid tests are extremely reliable. Expect 99.99999% > accuracy testing outside of the window period. I would say 100%, however, we know nothing of your current medical condition or history therefore, a rapid test at 3 months will definitely seal the deal.

Given your overall risk, you did everything in your power to play it safe and therefore you should expect a negative test result. However, even as Dr.HHH or Hook states, anytime you stray outside the boundaries of a monogamous relationship, then appropriate interval testing is generally a good idea. I'd suggest just playing it safe and going with the 3 month test to be as sure as possible. You owe it to your GF. Expect a negative result.

Would a rapid test at this time still be worth it, for accuracy?
