ARS Symptoms

I had a casual experience with a girl I had been seeing who later informed me that she had been quite promiscuous since breaking up with her boyfriend several months earlier. A couple of weeks after we started sleeping together (we had sex twice), I began to feel a little sick. On Tuesday I felt like I was having muscle aches, especially in my back, legs and arms. I also began to feel as if my lymph nodes in my throat were becoming enlarged and feared that I would have a sore throat the next day. Sure enough, the next day came and I had very enlarged neck glands and a severe sore throat, along with fatigue/tiredness. My muscles no longer ached, but my throat did and I think I had a fever that fluxuated between 99-101. By Thursday my sore throat had been wearing off, buy my glands were still enlarged and I still felt a little tired/weak. I had night sweats twice that night, waking up with my pillow soaked. My fever was gone the next day but my throat glands remained enlarged for about a week or two after all of this. I fear that she may have given me HIV and that this was my battle with ARS.

It sounds like your symptoms can be due to anything.  I doubt you have HIV.  Get tested for all stds at 3 months.  Including Herpes.

You can't have symptoms if you didn't have a risk. If you are ill see your doctor. They have nothing to do with ARS or HIV.

How? If a condom breaks does it tear or pop? Also, I read your profile and see that you teach about HIV/AIDS at different colleges so I am glad you were the one who responded, Teak. With you knowing so much about the topic, are the symptoms I experienced typical for ARS? I really never heard about ARS until web-surfing and I honestly feel that I find everything being inconsistent for the most part about how it occurs.

You would have known if a condom failed.

I actually used a condom and am fearing that maybe it broke or had a hole.

You were here in Oct 2007, you know the routine. You want to play without using condoms then you can suffer your anxiety until you are conclusively tested.
