Stupid I know but I need advice

I had a sexual encounter with a man, who I admit I did not know very well (one of those stupid internet meets).  He ejaculated inside me and yes it was unprotected sex.

That was yesterday.  Today he tells me that he intentionally had sex with me and that I now need to be tested for AIDS because he has it.  I am married and have a child and cannot go through the humiliation of the fact that this could be true.

I know it was completely irresponsible and very stupid.  When is the soonest I can get tested and what are the chances that he 1) is telling the truth and admitted to me he intentionally had sex with me to give me AIDS and 2) what are the chances of me getting HIV from one unprotected encounter.

wow I cannot believe someone would do this or say this to you (if this wasn't true) which I hope and pray it isn't true. Hopefully Teak or Lizzie can respond, but maybe you can get PEP. (you should ask them about PEP informatiom and when it is too late to get PEP since I do not know when the proper time to get PEP is but I know it is soon after exposure)

you can do a test at 6-8 weeks post exposure for a good indication of your status...but follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.
