Being a Cop how to prevent Hiv?

I heared that if a hiv infected blood touches the wound then there is a chance for infection.Being a cop would come across more such incident.I am preparing to become Cop.How to protect myself from such incident.Pls Suggest Some Ways? I personally feel that giving importance to avoid such incidence(example: avoiding to touch the wounds of criminals while attacking them) would affect my Cop carrier and i feel it is better to compromise safety than to compromise with my cop duty.Pls Suggest me some ways if there is a possibility to protect myself at such incidence?

If you are about to begin training as a police officer, I guarantee that you will be taught how to protect yourself, as best as possible, against exposing yourself to HIV.

I could advise you on ways to keep yourself safe in "normal" situations, but as a police officer, there are bound to be times when you simply do not have time to take precautions.

If you are concerned about acquiring HIV on the job, perhaps it would be best, before you begin training, to discuss your concerns with the instructors and other officers. Their first hand knowledge in this specific matter is much greater than mine.
