Very faint line on T_ oraquick

Dear doctor, I need an immediately response to calm me down.
Yesterday I felt like I want to Test myself for HIV, so I went and got me this oraquick hiv test kit. When I got in the car, I was already turned like a dead vampire, while sweating as anxiety had already destroyed my heart (beat rate about 120). So it took me 30 min just to open the kit because my hands were vibrating so I finally began the test procedure.
I got the swib then swipe twice on bottom and twice on top. But the kit recommends only to swipe once on each side. Then I set the test on the watch. After 20 min the red line appeared on C_control line, then after about 7 minutes I brought the stick to my eyes very close then there was this very  faint and broken line that had two very small dots on each beginning and ending points. When I did this test I was sick coughing.
_ 9 months ago, I was immunized with the yellow fever vaccination, which expected to stay active in my blood for over 10 years. Could this Oraquick test kit may have picked up the igM antibodies created by this vaccination in my system? Please someone answer me as soon as possible because I'm going for my military physical examination in 2 days. THANK YOU

Thanks for the update and happy to hear you are negative. If this is 3 months past your last exposure you are in the clear and considered conclusive.

BTW, you start your post "dear Dr ", FYI I'm no Dr, just a guy who was careless and went through a hell of a time and learned things I never imagined I would. It has been some time since the Drs here were active on the forums. If I gave wrong information to you, fellow members would have corrected me.

Keep in mind any current antibody only test has a 3 month window period to be considered conclusive. Always use a condom to avoid the regret you mentioned. I thought perhaps you had a recent experience that caused you to check your status. I'll pray for you,

Thank you for your response. I am concerned because i wouldn't like to experience regrets for the rest of my life and also it's annoying and abusive, especially when those you hang around with know that you have HIV. Pray for me.

Sry I can't find my Oralquick instructions but I do remember it is a 20 minute test. Same as blood test, you are not to consider results past the time the manufacture has specified for reading results.

Antibodies from another cause has been known to cause a false positive but to what you are specifically asking I don't have the knowledge to answer.

A blood test at a clinic without giving your name ( if you are wanting to be under the military radar )may be a better option following your oralquick experience.

Why are you concerned with HIV?
