Can blood draw pass hiv ? When giving blood for sample !!

Can blood draw pass hiv ? When giving blood for sample !!

Hi all,
I went to a diagnostic centre last month & gave blood for hiv screening they have done & it came out negative.
My worry was I didn't see the lady opening the syringe but couldn't see any blood on the needle though,
She applied alcohol to clean the arm & pricked the needle but blood was coming very slowly into the tube, I got irrational thinking what if there was any blood stuck in the needle & it could have gone into my body?
That lady destroyed the needle in electric destroyer after collecting the sample .
This diagnostic is well reputed & very neat but lady was seen to be new & assistant to the doctor,
My fear is whether is there any chance of hiv through this event ?

I was very disturbed & got myself tested exactly after a month & got result to be hiv non reactive .

So doctor please tell me is there any risk or I can move along ?

"What if" questions are anxiety related.  You didn't have a risk getting your blood drawn.

Seek some professional help if you cannot accept that.  You don't need testing...just put it behind you and move on.

Hii Mr teak
First of all wanna thank you for your great job by educating people like me all over world.

Coming to my incident mr teak I was concerned because blood came very slowly & stopped for few secs, so that lady injected the gap in syringe to pull it back for collecting blood. I was concerned of that.

Also after this incident I was having stomache upset exactly after 3 weeks & it continued for a week. It stopped after taking tablets. General physician said take a blood test for typhoid & it came positive 2 days ago. She is giving a course of 3 days injections.

So I started worrying whether this could be symptoms if hiv ? Also I am diabetic from past 1 yr & taking medication for that. Kindly clear my doubts also want to know whether ELISA test is reliable for 4 weeks which came out to be negative...

On a blood draw blood is being withdrawn not injected.

There's no chance for all this. Syringes are for SINGLE USE ONLY.
