Hey Teak and Vance,
Thanks for your response guys. I got back from a compulsory govt. test in Dubai and i'm HIV-. Being HIV+ in this part of the world is horrible, the govt. treats HIV+s like terrorists. In this country its not really about being HIV+ and getting treatment, its the fear of how you'll get treated (as in tortured) which in a way makes things way worse.
I just wanted to thank you guys for your support, even thought the time it made things worse LOL :).
TC and keep going !!!.
There is no "might have" you would have known if it failed. If did not fail you didn't have a risk.
Sorry, it was an immunochromatography....im really worried and cant concentrate on simple things. Please tell me if 6 weeks of an assay and chromatography are enough.
If a condom breaks then you know it.
WB is only used for confirmation if you have a positive antibody test. WB test without a positive antibody test is a waste.
I wasent erect with a condom on and had intercourse (vaginal) for 15 to 10 seconds. The condom might have torn in between as i got scared and ran. Ive read that if its an undetermined WB result then there are chances, but mine was non- reactive at 6 weeks, i just want to know my odds. Thank you for you reply btw.
If Elisa is non-reactive no reason to do a WB. 6 weeks is a good indication but as you know 3 months is conclusive.
What was your risk?
