if you think you have thrush...see your dr instead of self diagnosing.
Am I also correct in thinking even when someone has been infected with HIV they would not get oral thrush so quickly and it's more later on late stage? Sorry I'm just so paranoid it's freaking me out. I still have Oral Thrush and it's getting better but still yet to go.
I was on Antibiotics the same time I had the Oral Thrush. Do you think this could of made it worse?
I got so parnoid thinking I had Hiv,but the guy I was dating recently gave blood meaning he was most likely clean and we used condoms apart from one occasion. I do plan to get tested though as it will help me calm down.
I also kinda posted it on the wrong thing. I think my stress of seeing all the HIV reasons for Oral Thrush also made it worse.
Hi, Well i had a cold which is how I thought I got it. I also was on antibiotics, but I also believe that smoking can make it worse it bring it on as i was beginning to get better then smoked and it seemed to irritate it.
Oral thrush by any other name is a yeast infection in the mouth or diaper rash it is cause by Candidas albicanas ( may not be the correct spelling). Over use if antibacterial mouthwash (listerine) excessive use can kill off the bad bacteria ( that causes bad breath, but it also kills off the good bacteria that eat the yeast ( that is naturally occurring in the mouth at bay with the good bacteria washed away yeast is allowed to grow)
For women it is also am early indicator of in diagnosed or poorly managed diabetes.
Third prolonged use of antibiotics especially broad spectrum antibiotics. This happened to me I was on clymamicin for one thing ( this is a broad spectrum antibiotic and then two weeks later I was on claryrithomicin for a sinus infection. In between the two weeks I endured a lot of stress and anxiety and poor nutrition ( stress can also cause thrush) I developed thrush. I like you googled it and saw hiv and already being in a mentally fragile state I immediately thought hiv or something else that was compromising my immune system but it was directly related to the antibiotics. Dr prescribed nystatin and it cleared up within days.
Hope this helps but this is an hiv forum so if you tell us why you think you hiv related thrush those here can access your exposure
