i'm sorry but I don't understand...
You wouldnt have got false negatives if you had untreated HIV for 16 months. You do not have HIV.
thanks getitright77,
I also want opinion from others like Teak, Lizzie,...
I have many hiv sympthoms that won't go away, now I also find out that my white blood cell is low.
I'm very very afraid I'm one of the rare case of false negative due to something, or weak immune system.
Yes 110% sure. With the tests for Hiv we have today the majority of people will test positive by 6 weeks. There is no such thing as an Hiv test not being able to detect antibodies after the window period.
so are you sure the one that gave an answer I mention above is not in my case?
If you had a negative test result 16 Months after your exposure then your 110% Hiv negative and you shouldn,t even be asking any questions.NO,your immune system is not that weak that it wouldn,t produce antibodies and those tests you had a fine.I suggest you forget all about this and go and do some hobbies you enjoy.
I think you misunderstanding..
I don't know if I had ARS, maybe not remember, maybe not notice.
Last time I had sex March 2010.
- I tested rapid test negative at May 2010 (exact 2months)
4 months ago, it means July 2011, I've been so unwell, so weak and many symptoms.
- Then I took rapid tests twice: both negative July 2011 (16 months)
So now, I am asking if my immune system was too weak and couldn't detect antibodies?
How helpful my last two tests? is rapid test good?
You don,t get ARS symptoms after 4 Months and YES you can trust those results. You tested well past the window period. You don,t have HIV,your safe, get on with your life and stop obsessing for nothing.
that's what i'm talking about.
I took rapid test at 2 months negative. then I forgot about hiv.
but later, about 4 months ago, I feel so unwell, have sympthoms.
then i took same test two times: 16 months both negatives.
I don't know, can I trust the results?
You would know if your immune system was weak, you would be sick all the time.3 Months is more than enough time to produce detectable antibodies. 6 Months is wrong and outdated. It was the window period in 2003.
