Do I need testing? I am having a nervous breakdown

Hello doc, 5 weeks back, I had protected sex with a CSW in India. They gave me the condom.. Not sure which type it was. The condom was put on and she gave me oral. Post which we had sex. After I came out, the condom was intact...it did not break. I did not check if it had leaks. She took the condom and threw it in the bin. 5 weeks since, I am having a nervous breakdown. My tounge is white, I have rashes, and occasional pain in muscles. I worried like crazy. I am feeling very guilty about being unfaithful to my wife. I had a duo test in india and it was negative at 27 days. Please help

Its time to move on. You have been given all the information that you need. If you are still having problems with anxiety it might be a good idea to see a mental health professional. Your negative test proves you have nothing.

I continue to have stiff neck and feel dizzy at times. There is loss of energy too. Each time I am convincing myself, some rash pops up. I seem to have swollen lymph node in the armpits but I am not sure. I also get tingy feeling in the lower abdomen area. Do you think I should retest? This is freaking me out.  I guess I need reassurance that I do not have hiv.

You had no risk from protected sex. Your issue is guilt, which causes anxiety and anxiety causes all of those symptoms you mentioned. You need to get your guilt under control and then you will find that all of your symptoms will disappear.

Thank you friend. May be I am worried needlessly. There are a lot of things in the internet and lot of confusing stuff. Some say condoms protect and some say they just reduce the risk but do not protect. This is making me very tense. Guess it is better to be in a monogamous relation to avoid such trouble.

Hello, in this forum your questions are answered by other users and most of us aren't doctors.

If your condom was intact, you have nothing to be afraid of. as you weren't exposed to any risk and there was no need to get tested, but you did it.

A duo result four weeks after exposure is very unlikely to change, but normally requieres a confirmatory test twelve weeks after exposure. But as you weren't exposure to any risk your result should be enough for your peace of mind and you don't requiere anymore testing.

Hope this helps.
