Condom Broke for Unknown Period of Time

Hey there,

Last night I went out in Bali and had one too many drinks. I ended up at a brothel and had sex with a prostitute. After I ejaculated I pulled out to find that the condom had broken.
I'm so scared as I have a beautiful partner. I want to get tested but apparently it is 3-6 weeks before an accurate reading.
I am a male and the prostitute was female, what are my chances of catching HIV. If not HIV, what other diseases am I at risk of?
Please help, I'm so scared and in a foreign country, I don't know what to do.

you can test 6-8 weeks post exposure for a good indication of your status...this result is HIGHLY unlikely to change.  follow up at 3 months.

Let me also add how the condom broke. When I pulled out the only visible part of the condom was the band around the bottom of my shaft. It had completely split exposing my whole penis.

Hey Teak thanks for your input. Ignore my questions about other STDs, I will post in another forum. Sorry for the post.

I was wondering whether the chance of HIV is higher because I ejaculated inside of her?

Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it.

What are the time frames for certain types of STD's to show up on a blood test? I am so anxious and ready to take a test, however, I want it to be as accurate as possible.

I am aware I need to wait 3 months for a conclusive HIV test, but what about all the other stuff?

you are at risk of STD's, which will normally display symptoms after a few days. Some STD's such as chlamydia can be symptomless though. any GP will be able to test you for STD's and provide you with any necessary medication if you have picked anything up.

dont panic...maybe you could go and find the prostitute and speak to her about her status...or get her tested..this might put your mind at ease.

if you look at the Drs Forum you will see they use lots of odds and statistics for people in your situation. whilst these arent really that helpful, they might offer you some peace of mind.

until you test conclusively negative, make sure you dont have any unprotected sex with anyone
