ARS fever.

I know that most infected ppl do not get any symptoms. However I heared that when u get symptoms fever must be at least 38 C or more. Is that always the case?

I have fever for a week now. But it fluctuates from 37 C to 37.6 C, most of the time being 37.2. I have sore throat. Had slight joint ache and muscle ache. Diarrhea a few times. Headaches. I do not seem to have a rash yet and marted y gp today did not mention anything about any swollen glands in my throat, just said that its red. Generally they said they dont know what is wrong with me.

Oh, all these symptoms started 3 weeks after exposure.  Could it be HIV related?

And also, just to make sure: when ppl say it has to be over 38 C, u mean when measuring it in the armpit, not in the mouth yeah? Because temperature in the mouth is always obviosuly higher.

Many thanks!

It could be symptoms or it can be nothing or something else. We don't talk about symptoms because they are non-specific and you only know if you had symptoms after you test positive.

A persons body temp can range at any time during the day. So until you reach like 99.5-100 degrees F you do not have a fever.

no, i dont understand. normal temperature if measured im the armpit is under 37.
now if u measure it in mouth it will always be nearly 38.a
and i know most ppl use electronic. but we have this oldschool termometer here still..

so anyway, but i dont feel really bad. 3 few days i had joint ache and was sweating. and had 37.6 at times. now i feel completely fine appart from red throat and 37.2. antibiotics dont seem to help for throat either.

is there no way this could be hiv symptoms?

also when does a rash usually appera? when u have fever?

37-37.6 is normal for any person at anytime during the day. We are talking about over 38.3. Measured anywhere. Most places use digital (ear, forehead and mouth)
