Greetings,
I recently received oral sex and had vaginal sex with condom with a promiscuous female. I recognize that I too now count as promiscuous due to this event, although I have had few partners in my life. She told me she recently tested HIV negative (late May) and practices safe sex. However, she does frequently engage in sexual activity with new partners. Based on Dr. Hook's info and info in the forums, there is no need for me to test based on this event. The condom didn't break or slip, but I'm worried that there were small holes or breaks in it I didn't notice. I'm also worried that I'll be the one case in a 100,000 where oral sex leads to HIV in the receptive partner. I keep finding posts where people say they got HIV even though they always practiced safe sex. I can't stop calculating odds and reading the internet. I'm stressed out and agitated all the time, and my work is suffering. Is there really no real risk from this event? What if I'm the exception and don't find out until my health is failing or I've passed it on?
