When will I know when HIV symptoms will kick in? Can I be infected with HIV?

I had unprotected vaginal sex with a new girl partner on December 17 and 18 (no oral sex or anal sex) but with kissing. We are in a heterosexual  relationship. I developed a sore throat on December 24 and it then developed into cough and colds on December 28. My cough and colds are almost gone as of today because phlegm is already clear colored and frequency has reduced. However, as of December 26, I have been feeling something unusual in my urethra that is not too troublesome is not normally there and I don't often experience sensations in my urethra unless I just ejaculated which should reside within a few minutes after I do. The feeling still persists until today, but there are no discharges or increase in pain when urinating/ejaculating. It has been around 13-14 days (about 2 weeks)  since I have been exposed to a potential STD. How likely that I have been exposed to HIV? When will the ARS symptoms kick in supposedly?

The urologist is using outdated guidelines of 3 months, so I can see why you are concerned about waiting that long. The good news is that you can take a test on Jan 15 which is 28 days past Dec 18 for a conclusive result, so it isn't far off.

HIV doctors can't diagnose from symptoms because of multiple causes so you won't be able to get any useful answers from studying your body either. Everyone posts here about their ARS symptoms, but so far I haven't seen anyone who had ARS so try to keep that in mind while you kill time waiting for 28.
Thank you for all the replies I appreciate it a lot. I was planning to take the test on Jan 15 until the doctor said otherwise. But I would say it would probably ease my nerves a lot if I did take the test then.
Plus you wouldn't have to deal anymore with a urologist who uses outdated guidelines .
That is true. I believe he doesn't even care about his job anymore. He just told me to get a urinalysis, come back  around february to march to get the HIV test, and didn't even want to explain or talk about much.
Perhaps the government forces him to use outdated guidelines, but on the other hand, any test is conclusive in 3 months so he may not have the duo available.
Yes perhaps so the government does force them to when I inquired. One of the hospitals I went had a 4th generation test but insisted to be tested on 6 weeks and then 3 months instead of the 4 weeks
I am actually considering whether I should take an HIV test if I don't experience any symptoms of ARS at all by January 15th. What do you guys think?
Your situation is straightforward, since I explained that you can't diagnose from symptoms..Symptom analysis is therefore useless in determining whether to test.

I forgot to mention that she had bacterial vaginosis (BV) during the time of exposure because I could tell by the smell.

This is an HIV forum and you posted other disease fears on another board, so I will restrict my answer here to HIV.

You interact with others who carelessly cough on your food, lips and door knobs so flu and sore throat are to be expected at any time.
HIV doctors can't diagnose from symptoms because multiple diseases have the same symptom so you won't be able to either.
You can take a duo test at 28 days after exposure for a conclusive result. Try to relax until then, because nothing is pointing toward you having HIV. The first step to relax is quit Googling symptoms cold turkey and stop analyzing your body, because there is no useful diagnostic info on Google.
When does ARS normally take place though? It's been 18 days since my exposure and i'm really nervous. The urologist that I went to today said that it takes 3 months for tests to be conclusive even when I suggested the duo test he just disregarded it. We live in the Philippines and I do not know if there is a duo test here.
Right thanks. I'll get tested on the 15th I suppose. Thank you again
