Rapid HIV combo test reliability at 40 days?

Dear Sirs,

I had a risky unprotected six with a girl who i checked her already before having sex with her by rapid HIV test and the result came out with negative at the time, but after that i figured out that there is a window time where the antibodies still can't be visible depends on the type and and what generation the test machine belong to.

So i had a test at 32 days from the possible exposure date by Rapid HIV test and the result was (negative).
After that i had a rapid HIV Combo test at 40 days and the result came out with (0.12 negative), i belived it is rapid because i got the result on the same date after 4 hours, and the woman carrying the test told me that the HIV combo test can detect after 21 days.

please reassure me and and  tell me about the reliability of the Rapid HIV combo test? and is it conclusive at 40 days?, and what does the figure 0.12 mean?

thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Regards,

Doctor would say 6-8 weeks would give you the conclusive result. Actually the results do not change after 6 weeks, however as per cdc norms and the manufacturers of the tests 3 months is conclusive. Hence, 3 months window period is advised.
