Getting Hell lot of Tension, Please help me
Hi Doc,
Yester day I had sex with a Sex worker, I used condom but what I did is ; I Licked her ***** for 2 min with my tounge.
on my lip I had a small ulcer (I dont know that Oral sex is not safe.. that time)
But now I'm scared.. I dont have any cuts on my tunge.. Do I still have a chance to get HIV....
Please clarify me Doctor... I'm very much worrying about this...

Your friend information is incorrect.There have been many studies conducted to establish if oral sex is a risk of hiv transmission and the conclusion was no risk.Your friend should have told you that saliva neutralizes the virus and thus its ability to infect is zero.You never had a risk of hiv transmission and do not require testing.Once again your friend should have encouraged you to test for other STD,s.

The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".

So in may Case, I have got comments saying that "I never had a risk and do not require testing".
My main problem is due to that Ulcer which I had during my sex (after two days It completly dissapeared).
since 4 weeks I don't have any problem except Anxity, but still that Ulcer fear is killing me..
Please let me know your comments..

The information that you are referring to is solely theoretical- oral sex has not been confirmed as a risk factor for HIV transmission. Anybody can author an article on Wikipedia so you have to be highly skeptical of the accuracy of the information there. Same thing with Yahoo Answers and similar sources of information. I suggest that you read what the expert doctors here have to say about oral sex (cunnilingus in particular). Just use the search function on the HIV Prevention and International Expert forums.

Just now I have discussed with my frined (who is working as a lab assistance), and he said that if you have cuts or Ulcer then You can get HIV.....
After his reply, I'm completly worrying abt that....

You never had a risk of hiv transmission via oral sex,Ulcer or no ulcer it doesn,t matter.Test for other STD,s however, but not hiv.You can stop worrying about this situation and get some rest.All the best.
