Pls help..Anxiety is killing...had an exposure

Hello guys,

I am based in Australia and recently had an exposure. I am not sure but everywhere i read alot of different opinions.I went to a masseuse and agreed for an erotic massage. Towards the end she asked me to have sex and i had declined but in the end i agreed for a handjob. However i did not wear a condom. During the handjob she decided to use some lubricants but in the end it wasnt enough so she actaully directly spit on my penis head with her saliva and rubbed it all around the urethra and continued her massage. In the heat of the moment i couldnt stop her saliva from touching the penis of my head and i am not sure how much of saliva had entered the urethra. After about 5 mins she asked for sex and i declined and i was too shocked that i went to the emergency department of the local hospital to ask for Post exposure prophylaxis but they declined. I have a few questions below and please help.

1. My penis head was uncovered and the saliva from her mouth she spat directly in the urethra?...IS this a risk of transmission?...is there any cases like this before?

2.some sites say saliva is able to pass HIV into the lumen of the urethra is this true?....considering that she doubles as a masseuse and a sex worker although no contact between the mouth and penis took place?

3.Is saliva considered sexual fluid?...whats the risk of being a receiver in this kind of situation?....

4. I always thought a handjob was safe but i wasnt expecting spit of saliva on my penis head?.. Is this a common habit?..Is there any cases like this

5. The hospital emergency staff checked with a consultant and they said saliva wasn't a tranmission tool and u dont need PEP...i was having a hard time understanding this as i always thought saliva was not infectious on the skin but if entering a lumen like a urethra is dangerous.

6. I contacted the sexual health service and they told me to comeback after 6 weeks for a HIV and STD tests....what should i do now for this waiting period as i am just sooo worried about this incident. Some sites say there is a chance and others say no chance of transmission as they is no penetration. What is your opinion about these.

Pls help...It feels unbearable and still in shock as i was only planning to have a safe massage but it turned out to be so risky.

Thank you

6. Ignore them and move no. They are using a theoretical risk that has never manifested in 40 years of hiv history, so it will not happen in the next 40 years of your life either.

Your situation is a non risk for hiv infection, the risks are having unprotected sex or sharing injection needles with someone known hiv positive.
