HIV Risk & Razor Cuts On Penis

Hi there,

Have a question and some what panicing, yesterday evening I had protected sex with an escort however about 10 to 20 minutes prior to her arrival I shaved myself and had some small cuts on the base of my penis, blood came to the surface but after wiping it dried and didn't continue to bleed, but you could see where the cuts were about a hairs width wide and about 3mm long at most and about 2 or 3 cuts in total.

Stupidly I continued with the booking and as I say had protected vaginal sex with the escort, however the condom didn't cover the area's where the cuts were which are about 1 to 2 cm from the base of the penis, these cuts would of been in contact with her viginia, is there a risk because of possible vaginal fluids / secretions getting into the cuts by being some what fresh and a risk of HIV infection, I don't know her status etc.

Any help and advice is much welcomed.

Many thanks.

If your penis head has been totally covered during the sex, then you would have no HIV risk at all.

And regarding your cut, no, HIV virus doesn't get in that way. Cut heals pretty instantly and so was yours, blocking HIV transmission.

There's no HIV risk to worry.

thanks for the fast reply just so much confusion out there on the internet and some very scary reading indeed, not trying to question your answer but I probably am lol how come other sites say high risk with cuts and your answer is no risk as I say not trying to question you but more like in a way of as I say so so much confusion out there with HIV and how its transmitted, posting on this site though as it appears people are better in tuned / informed than say yahoo answers etc.

Quite a lot of info on the net is either outdated or exaggerated. No it's not, not from careful studies about these.
