I believe what you're saying.
I just want to find out what caused the false test because it might be something else alarming for my health.
That's why I asked if the elisa test might be affected from right shift blood.
What part of you never had an exposure is it you aren't comprehending.
Hello Teak,
I have one last question.
I don't know if you can help me with that
My parents told me that in my last general blood test they found that I have Right shift Leukocytosis. Is there a way that it might affected the Elisa result? The reason I'm asking is that I want to find out what cosed the false result.
So, I'm overeating Teak..
Probably and hopefully you're right ;-)

Hello All,
Sorry for asking again
So, as I understand it, If a western Blot test is negative 3 months after the exposure (assuming that I had a high risk exposure, which i didn't because I used a condom and you cannot get HIV from oral sex), than you're 100% negative (even if the ELISA is positive).
Is there any chance that the western Blot negative result is false (if the test is performed 3 months after the exposure)?
The only reason that I'm still a little anxious is because the doctor told me to retest next week. Why retest if the western Blot is 100% accurate after 3 months?
Also, the doctor didn't give me the documents of the positive Elisa and Negative Western Blot. Is there any chance she didn't tell me the truth about he Negative Western Blot result just to protect me from been anxious till the next test?
No it is not very unlikely...you DON'T have HIV.
Thanks a lot.
I've read a lot of articles and I know that it's very unlikely to have HIV, but I cannot stop feeling anxious about it even if I'm almost sure it's only my idea:-)
WB is a confirmation test, it's negative so are you. This is why we don't recommend testing for no risk situations.
