HIV Testing question

Hi doctor,

I have a quick question.
I took an HIV 1/2 antibody test at a laboratory (blood test) and the result was negative.
I took this test after a plane flight (approx. 8 hour flight). Approximately after 3 hours of landing I went to take the HIV test.
I was wondering if taking the test after air travel could have any impact in the test results (such as producing for example a false negative?) or these things are totally unrelated?
I must be totally confident in the result?
Do you think I need to retest?

I was tested 9 weeks after a possible exposure and the result was negative.

Thanks for your help. I really trust your advice as an expert.

I am not a Doctor but the two have nothing to do with the each other. What was your exposure? A 9 week negative is a pretty good indicator of your status, You should however test at 13weeks to get a conclusive negative result. All the best!
