A conclusive test is 3 months after your last dose of nPEP
It says on this website:
If your test result is negative and the test was done 6 weeks or more after you were at risk, and you have not been exposed to HIV since then, you can stop worrying about having HIV. You can repeat the test after 3 months or after 6 months to be sure, and you can take steps to protect yourself against getting HIV in the future.
You think this is true?
I had unprotected sex with a chinese woman who turned out to be a sex worker in Dubai. She tricked me into believing she was a "normal" woman. It was my daft fault. I was put on Post Exposure Prophylaxis HIV medication within 72 hours. The course lasted 28 days. I have seen spoken to alot of Doctors in the military who said i was low risk regarding my incident and not to worry.
How is a sex worker low risk?
The doctor says it's about 90% percent accurate at 6 weeks. His opinion is based on his working experience with patients.
Makaveli,
The doctor on this board will tell you that a 6 week result is almost conclusive. In fact, he states that 6 weeks is conclusive for low risk exposures. What was your exposure?
For example, if you just had oral sex, this would be no risk at all.
