HIV from a needle stick

I was at a crowded beach today in SoCal. Very populated and a lot of drifters and homeless hanging around. There were crowds and close contact with people. A lot of bumping into and brushing shoulders. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my back quad. Like a poke. It hurt for a few seconds. About an hour when I got back to the hotel I looked and noticed a red dot and a puncture hole. There was a tiny amount of blood that had bleed too. What are my risks of someone posibly pokeing me with a used HIV needle? Should I rush to the emergency room for PEP?

I'm extremely worried. Is there risk here giving the circumstances.

No, absolutely not.  Even a medical professional would have difficulty injecting you with anything without you absolutely knowing it happened.  Put this out of your mind.  If you can't, seek assistance from a therapist.

So even if someone just gave me a quick poke it wouldn't transmit. There's no chance of risk?

I felt this stabbing pain in my leg. Like if someone quickly stuck me.

This is anxiety talking.  You didn't get jabbed by an HIV-infected needle.  It would have hurt extremely bad, as someone would have to stick the needle in and then push the plunger.  NO chance that happened.  No one gets infected with HIV this way.
