Possible HIV Exposure...?

Hello All,

First off thanks for this awesome site, the info on here has helped me a great deal in the past.  I am a CSW

It's embarassing but true what my recent experience is...yesterday, Sat Oct 30th, I had protected sex multiple times with the same partner.  This client, is from Australia, a man of 62, married with 2 adult children and except for skin tags and moles, no apparent sign of being ill.

Once during Sat night we had brief vaginal, unprotected sex, perhaps 10 seconds or less.
I was drinking and somewhat perturbed by another matter in my life and made this rash, foolish decision.  I intend to get tested in 6 weeks, however my concern is if this man was positive, what are the chances I contracted HIV from a single exposure to pre-ejaculate?
Right now I also have diarrhea and a temp of 36.5, could the diarrhea be a sign of a virus? or the HIV virus?

Thanks very much
WJB

The odds you were infected from 10 seconds of unprotected sex is very very low. The odds he was infected is low. Your symptoms are not related to HIV as they came on way to soon.

As you know testing is still needed you can do a test at 6 weeks to get a good indacation of your status but test again at the 3 month mark to be 100% sure.

My bet is you will be fine

Hope this helps

Your other exposure has nothing to do with this one.  If you were tested 3 months after the first exposure you were NEG. Now you must test for this exposure

I forgot  to mention
That in addition to this encounter, months ago I had the same unprotected incident on the job, and tested negative 3 months later.

Just wanted to know if this time frame had any bearing on my chances of contracting HIV.  I routinely get asked by clients to have sex without condoms, which i always refuse, until this episode of Oct 30th which i just described...I feel like I should have gone for PEP.

THanks very much NickOne7

I will get tested on the 3-month mark and will be sure in future to always wear a condomn, even in my personal life.

Thanks again, might be a lil ways down the line, but I will respond and let you know the results, after Jan 30th.
