HIV probability

Hi,

I recently visited a legal brothel in nevada for a bachelor party and had an intercourse with a woman. As per the rules of the county, every patron has to wear a condom and is mandatory and so was I. Brothel women are checked for STD constantly (some tests weekly and HIV tests monthly) as per their explanation there. I dont have any symptoms of HIV that are posted in other forums after 4 weeks and have give a early RNA test in the 4th week. I am waiting for my results right now.

However, due to winter season, I feel chills now and then for a few minutes during the day and night (mostly night though) as its very cold inside my apartment. No fever though as I am monitoring my body temperature. I wouldn't have time for my daily meals (skip breakfast or dinner now and then and is malnutritioned on some days) due to busy schedule.

what is a possibility of acquiring a HIV from such an act?

Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.

Thanks a lot for your response Teak. I was very much concerned about probability of HIV transmission (which many forums on internet said is still possible with improper use). However my use was way proper as it was put on me by a professional sex worker.

Can you please give more insight on how Latex condoms are effective in protecting the HIV transmission?

This thing is just on my mind, every day, every minute, every moment. It make me feel so depressed and low each day. I have lost interest in my life for so many days now.

You had protected sex and didn't have an HIV exposure.
