Hi,
So here's my situation. I had unprotected vaginal and oral sex with a girl of unknown HIV status. 3 days later I woke up with swollen glands in my throat. Throughout the day it progress to a fever (101.3) and aches. I had really bad night sweats that night. I woke up the next day without a fever. The swelling of the tonsiles and soreness went away by the time i went to sleep (days 4).(worried its signs of Acute HIV infection ) Day 7 I get tested. Tests come back and I have contracted chlamydia, herpes and a culture taken from my throat indicates I have heavy growth of Streptoccocus group G ( upon some research the common group "A" is really the one that has any type of fever inducing qualities). At 7 days it is too early to rely on the negative results for HIV. I was curious what my chances are that I contracted HIV? Does it only have to be blood to blood contact? Can HIV attach itself to the chlamydia virus for non blood to blood transport? It has been two and a half weeks now and have had no illness besides the intial fever 3 days afterward and a sore from the herpes 2 weeks after. Could the fever and night chills have been caused by step group g, chlamydia or herpes?
Side note:
-I do no believe I had any open sores in my mouth or around my genitals.
-It is said the initial outbreak of herpes can be accompanied by a fever but my initial outbreak ( 1 sore on penis) occured 2 weeks after the fever episode.
Sorry for asking so many questions, I am just really worried. I cant stop looking into this. Please be honest in your reply.
