Actually, the above is incorrect. ARS symptoms are not "very common". MANY newly infected people never have one symptom at all.
The important thing to remember is that symptoms are NEVER a way to determine status, only a test will do that.
ARS Symptoms are very common, fever, rashes, body aches , sore throat, swollen lymph glands. You can have all these symptoms and still test negative.
At the same time comments such as 'if you have a persistent sore throat you may need to have an AIDS test' gives validity for people to believe they might be HIV positive just for having such a minor symptom.
Symptoms don't diagnose HIV only an HIV test can do that.
This post sends the wrong message,
"Based on studies and all the research available, HIV thankfully still remains a very difficult and rare infection to catch."
Your statement gives validity for people to have unprotected sex.
