HIV transmission through nipple sucking of an known HIV

Hi Guys. Can someone please shed some light on this. I sucked the nipple of HIV+ female for about 1-5 seconds, after doing that I had this yucky      taste on  my tongue and mouth. The girl    is not  expecting nor is she breastfeeding, I doubt that this was breast milk caue of the aforementioned reasons. Now my questions are 1.) Was this an  exposure? 2.) Should I take PEP for this if it was an exposure?

I concur, you had NO risk from this encounter, none at all.

Furthermore, if she was not breastfeeding, or had recently given birth, or was pregnant, she couldn't be producing breast milk anyway.

You need to put this behind you, no concerns.

have no clue...maybe body lotion

as far as breast milk goes...here is an excellent quote from dr handsfield:

"It is easy to be confused about the risk of HIV associated with breast milk.  Many educational websites and other resources list exposure as a risk, because infants can be infected by nursing.  But those sources rarely tell the full story.  Among babies nursed by HIV infected mothers, only about 10-15% catch HIV; and typically it takes 6 months before they become infected -- all the time swallowing several ounces of milk ever day.

Given that low infectiousness, what can the risk possibly be through exposure to a drop or two?  The fact is that breast milk has never once been implicated as the source of sexually acquired HIV, or of a new HIV infection in any human being except nursing babies."  DR HANDSFIELD / MEDHELP
