Hi doctor

I am extremely sorry for coming back again. I wanted to know my risk of hiv from performing unprotected oral on a sex worker. the vaginal sex and oral i received was protected. I have some pain in my armpits and slight pain have started when i urinate. no discharge as yet. It has been just onetime event and been around 2 weeks... Regards

Thank you very much for your response.I am sorry again and I know i have been on this long enough to know the exposures. But the same way I got another answer that this is a low risk which you have answered him back already, i do sometimes have these doubts as there are so many different answers for these exposures it is  confusing.... Thank you heaps again....

Wrong, Oral sex with someone that is HIV positive is not a low risk it's not a risk at all.

And to clarify, it is this site's stance, based on studies and our own MedHelp experts (all of whom are world-renowned for their work in this field), that oral sex carries no risk for HIV.

Performing oral sex on a woman confirmed to be HIV+ is low risk, and you shouldn't assume that the CSW is in fact positive as in all likelihood she is not. There have only been a very small handful of documented cases of transmission via performing cunnilingus out of the millions of people who have been diagnosed over the past 20 years.  Get tested at 3 months. Not because you had a high risk exposure, but primarily for peace of mind. In the future, use a dental dam or condom for any tongue tickling of the kitty.

You've been coming here long enough to know you never had an exposure.
