Hiv 1/2 eia ab at 90 days

Hello.


I did a test HIV 1/2 Eia ab screen, it came back non-reactive.


Unfortunately, I don't know that much about the test I did. I asked the doctor and she didn't know well about it.


Please answer my questions


1- what it's stand for ?
2- which generation is it ?
3- is it conclusive at 90 days ?


I don't feel ok , I have may symptoms of HIV. Please answer me, I'm student and I'm so nervous

Hi there,

Any test done at the 3 months mark is conclusive. So no, in your case you don't need to get retested. You are negative.

I think he is not specialist in HIV, he really makes me fell bad and worry. So, do I need to retest?

Most likely it was a 3rd gen antibody test. As only 4th gen and 3rd gen is routinely done now adays. The only second gen test is the oraquick. Anyway irregardless of generation 90 days is conclusive. Im just shocked why your doctor does know what type it was.
