Hiv Anxiety Oral

I have severe Hiv Anxiety from receiving oral sex.  I am an otherwise healthy 38 year old male. I have been told and read numerous times that I am not at risk.  Every "symptom" that i get I attribute to Hiv.  I received unprotected oral sex from a woman of unknown status 4 weeks ago and I have had a lingering cough for about 3 weeks and I developed either a skin irritation or a rash on my chest, thus fueling my fears.  The woman who gave me the oral has agreed to go with me for an hiv test today.  Is this test even warranted at all?  Should I chalk up any symtoms I am having to stress and anxiety?  I know that a test at 4 weeks is not conclusive but is it a good indicator?  Sorry for rambling.  Any input would be appreciated.  Thank You

Thank you both for your comments I appreciate them.  As far as my anxiety Webbers "Yes"  I agree with you.  The woman in question and I both tested today and both of us were negative via the Hiv 1/2 antibody.  Can I put this no risk situation to rest?

Have you considered staying away from all sexual activity until you can get your anxiety under control? This is just a suggestion because it's supposed to be fun but you're not having fun because you are too anxious. You should think about getting some counseling to help work through your HIV phobia so that you can live a normal life without obsessing over something like this.

First of all. Please read into what the HIV expert Drs. On this website say about oral sex and HIV. They all say ZERO RISK. If you read into the facts on the subject. You will see why you were never at risk for HIV.

Now as for your symptoms this happens all the time. When it comes to fear of HIV stress and anxiety. Tend to take over. Then your brain will start to convince yourself you are getting sick.

So you had a zero HIV risk. No need to worrie over that.
