Im really concerned.

Ok I will admit I’m a bit embarrassed but here we go; I was hoping if someone could give me their perspective. I’m a gay male and have never had unprotected sex and my last test showed negative (a year ago).  A few days ago, on a 5th date with this man that I had started to see we wound up in his bed at his apartment. (I have not had sex with him, only passionate kissing) Long story short while we were kissing in his bed he did put one of his own fingers in his mouth and then proceeded to finger me (anally) I stopped him within 30 seconds. I told him I wasn’t ready for that yet. So his finger wasn't in for very long or deep. However I did ask him about testing if he ever wanted to take "us" to the next level. He seemed really nervous and became very recalcitrant in his refusal. That is when I got scared. I just would like to know-- assuming he was HIV+ should I receive testing? Was there significant risk? He brushed his teeth right before this all started so I was worried about how many of us have sensitive bleeding gums if the fact he licked his finger before inserting it into me briefly is going to pose a serious risk. I’m really concerned...can you give me any direction?

You never had an exposure. Fingering is not a risk of HIV transmission and saliva is not infectious.

Thank you, really appreciate your valuable input. So I should be fine even if he had some bleeding of the gums? (I just remember him mentioning it before when he was brushing which is what concerned me when he used is mouth to lublricate finger.) Thanks again :)
